Wunder Workshop (WW) is a London-based functional food brand making organic turmeric-based products.

Set up by Tom and Zoe, WW is inspired by Ayurveda - also known as the Science of Life for its principles based on a preventive approach to health. WW uses functional ingredients to maximize your body's potential, enabling you to live better, work harder, and be stronger (for longer!).

We want our Golden Mylk® products to be good for our customers as well as the planet and the people who provide our ingredients. We import our organic turmeric directly from an independent organic farm in the heart of Sri Lanka, supporting its farmers and local community.

  • To make turmeric part of people's daily diet
  • To educate people about food as a functional tool to enrich their bodies
  • To create a healthier world where people live to their fullest potential
  • To change conventional attitudes from curing disease to preventing it

We believe in consumption with a purpose, and therefore make sure that our products are tested and approved by a nutritional expert, to provide our customers not only with delicious products but with products that are an investment into their long-term health.

Founder bios

Zoe LVH, Founder

Zoe learned about health and nutrition from her late mother, who had been in the health food industry for over 40 years. This knowledge and motivation led her to start up her own business. Having travelled with her mother to Sri Lanka to experience and learn more about Ayurveda, Zoe learned about turmeric and its benefits. The following year she went back to establish a partnership with turmeric suppliers and begin her journey to starting Wunder Workshop.

Tom Smale, Co-founder

Having studied pharmacology and worked in the medical world for a few years Tom was convinced that there was more out there beyond conventional medicine. Having stumbled across the benefits of turmeric in his studies, he was keen to follow a more natural path towards disease prevention rather than simply reacting to illnesses.

hey woman! - Selfmade Experts: Zoe on Wunder Workshop

"I don’t want to forget that Sri Lanka and its people are the source of inspiration for all this. It might be packaged and marketed in London, but it truly smells and tastes like its true origin."

Women's Health - Can Drinking Golden Lattes Help You Burn Fat?

As far as dairy-free drinks go, the wellness brands have milked the options this year. There's been coconut, almond, hazelnut and the most famous, soy. And the love of alternative lait isn't slowing down. If you haven't tried a golden latte yet, where have you been?

Consciously designed to evoke our optimum state of wellbeing, Zoë hopes to educate society about the utilisation of food as a functional tool, seeking to change the global attitude from curing disease to preventing it. This week, we sat down with Zoë to learn more about her inspiring journey, inspirations and wellbeing rituals...

Byrdie - The Trendy New Anti-Ageing Beverage That Also Tackles Bloating

Someone who knows a lot about this Indian spice is Zoe Lind van't Hof, co-founder of Wunder Workshop, the golden latte company almost single-handedly fueling our appetites for the drink. You can buy pouches of the original, chai and cacao blends on its website, but they are also the brand used to create the turmeric lattes at The Mae Deli, Le Pain Quotidien and Pod.

Turmeric’s active ingredient curcumin is effective at reducing chronic inflammation caused by everyday toxins found in the air, diet and stress. Recent scientific studies have shown its potential for treating arthritis, Alzheimer’s disease and even its effectiveness against certain cancers (particularly bowel cancer).
— Zoe, Founder
I like the brand’s story, the focus on quality ingredients sourced from reputable places and most importantly the taste. It’s delicious and I can have it anytime of the day. I find it helps my DOMs post workout and it’s another excuse to use my matcha kit!
The most important difference to me (compared to other brands) is that the turmeric is smooth and not burned, which seems to be a common thread among a lot of turmeric I have tried. But also, the consistency of the drink is rich and soothing.
